Easy ham n cheese ring
1can of croissants 🥐
Ham (good ham)
Cheese (Logan likes provolon or Swiss cheese
Veggie (I usually use the veggies in the fridge such as onion, mushroom, shredded carrots. Kale spinach etc etc = sautéed )
Place the croissant dough like the star shape.
Tower the ham, veggies, cheese etc.
Cover the dough to make a ring
Bake 350 F for 30 mi. Or until golden brown

LD’s hotdog sauce
For 4th of July Egnor reunion
This sauce is also good with Fritos corn chips
(Very summery nostalgic food that remind me of swimming pool)
- 4 -5 lbs ground chuck
- 1 cup water
- 3 large onions, chopped
- 2 (29 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 4 teaspoons pepper
- 4 bay leaves
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 6 teaspoons red wine vinegar
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 6 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
Mix everything (except bay leaves) by hand 🖐 so that no lumps
Put bay leaves
Slow cooker or low heat cook until done
Remove bay leaves
This sauce is also good with Fritos corn chips

Spinach Cheese triangles
Spinach cheese triangles
Sautee
1 onion minced
4-5 strips minced bacon 🥓—-optional
Mix
Sautéed onion and bacon
1 package cream cheese
About 20 oz frozen spinach (thawed and drained really well)
About a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
One lemon zest and 1/2 lemon juice
Salt /pepper /garlic powder
Some EVOO olive oil to get the consistency you want
2eggs
Wrap
Thaw the philo dough first way ahead of time
Cut the philo dough into strips
Then place the mixture and wrap to form triangles
1/2 stick of butter (microwaved to melt)
Brush triangles with butter
Bake preheated 350 oven for 30 minutes or until color

My famous strawberry cake
For the cake
one box of (Better Crocker) French Vanilla Cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup veggie oil
1 cup water
Optional (using a little bit of Rum or Bailey's, moist the cake).
bake 350 for 30 - 40 minutes until done then cool completely on the rack.
The secret to have a flat top cake is
to use the bottom as a top. (upside down)
For the cream
1 cup of whipping cream (NO cool whip)
30 g (2 large spoonful) or more Sugar
For decoration
Fruits (I use strawberry) but , peach, blueberry, whatever works.

no flavor gelatin for gloss look and maintain moisture of strawberries (add a little sugar)

I recommend to put the nuts on the side.
(this pic did not do that, and came out much more messy strawberry decoration later)

start decorate with very thin sliced strawberries.

Rum Cake
Rum Cake
1 cup chopped walnuts
cooking spray
1 box of yellow cake mix (18.25 ounce)
1 box of instant vanilla pudding (3.4 ounce)
4 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup veggie oil
1/2 cup rum
1 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar * (I cut down to 1/2 cup from the original one cup)
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup dark rum
1)Preheat oven 325 F
2) in the cake pan, spay and place the chopped walnuts
3) Mix yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding, 4 eggs (one at a time), water, veggie oil, and rum.
4) pour the mixture to the cake pan
5) bake at 325 F for about one hour
6) cool the cake
7) while cooling, melt butter, sugar and water. After sugar is dissolved, add rum in.
8) after the cake is cool, little by little pour #7 mixture to the cake to moisten it.
