Rum Cake
1 cup chopped walnuts
cooking spray
1 box of yellow cake mix (18.25 ounce)
1 box of instant vanilla pudding (3.4 ounce)
4 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup veggie oil
1/2 cup rum
1 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar * (I cut down to 1/2 cup from the original one cup)
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup dark rum
1)Preheat oven 325 F
2) in the cake pan, spay and place the chopped walnuts
3) Mix yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding, 4 eggs (one at a time), water, veggie oil, and rum.
4) pour the mixture to the cake pan
5) bake at 325 F for about one hour
6) cool the cake
7) while cooling, melt butter, sugar and water. After sugar is dissolved, add rum in.
8) after the cake is cool, little by little pour #7 mixture to the cake to moisten it.
